Autobiography
The techniques of
Chinese traditional Kung-Fu are sad and hard to explain now. Kung-Fu, called at his birth bravery and strength, originated
and developed from Confucianesimus. In the Han era, the most famous doctor Hua
Tuo invented the 5 animals’ movements to exercise practical techniques. There
were not many people practicing them and they almost disappeared. Later
Bodhidharma used the spare time of his classical text lessons to teach some
methods to get a better health. Those methods were the combination of movements
adopted from the natural disposition and special aptitude of animals and the
techniques of inner o Kung-Fu, which evolved in Yi Quan and later called Xin Yi
Quan. Yi Quan means the practices of intention and movements, which were
imitated from the technical abilities of animals. Many people came to learn it
achieving high standards which made Shao Lin Quan a famous style of Kung-Fu. Then
the grand knight Yue Fei collected the quintessence of all the styles of Kung-Fu
and compiled the strong and practical Xing Yi Quan, which is still practiced
today. Bacause society seemed peaceful, there was more interest for literature
than for than Kung-Fu. Therefore, many high level people lived in seclusion,
that made many profound theories of Kung-Fu cannot be carry forward. That is a
real pity. Master Dai Long Bang in Tai Yuan City of Shan Xi province in Qing
era was an outstanding master of Xing Yi Quan and he passed it on to Li Luo
Neng, who taught many students. Che Yi Zhai, Liu Qi Lan and Guo Yun Shen
learned the essence from Master Li Luo Neng. Guo Yun Shen ,the strongest one,
based his teaching of Xing Yi Quan on the practice of Zhan Zhuang. Zhan Zhuang
is a kind of training in which one stays motionless in a particular stand, in
order to develop intention and concentration relaxing the muscles. It is a
really special and arduous practice in Kung-Fu which requires a lot of energy
and time. Most of the students did not understand the importance of Zhan Zhuang
or did not have the mental strength to bear the toughness of this training.
Some withdrew spontaneously other were sent away from Master Guo because they
lacked the necessary effort and determination. Master Guo talked about this
situation regretfully and pointed out how difficult it is to find intelligent
students with high standards of morality yearning sincerely to learn Kung-Fu. I
was in the same village with Master Guo and I agree with Master Guo’s thought.
Master Guo appreciated my hard working and dedication to Xing Yi. I had the
honor to look after Master Guo for many years and he passed the real essence of
Chinese traditional Kung-Fu to me. Nowadays people like to
learn the bizarre skills, but they do not know that the true philosophy is
rooted in every day life, based on principles that rule natural action and
life. Today it is rare to find someone who wants to learn the real Kung-Fu and
Chinese civilization; instead they are ignorant and incompetent, blindly
following the current fashion. How can we carry forward the traditional Kung-Fu?
Should the real civilization be enhanced by those idiots? I have not attained a
high standard of Kung-Fu, but I had the real teaching from master. I follow his
instruction everyday and practice to comprehend the principles and theories of Kung-Fu.
I am trying to understand it thoroughly and share it with other intelligent
people who behave morally. Let people know the Chinese traditional Kung-Fu and
make it develop further.
